Using Tech for Book Marketing

Kate Gingold from Sprocket WebsitesKate has been building websites with her husband Don since 1996 for all sorts of clients, including authors.

Kate regularly writes about online marketing for Sprocket Websites and provides tips and techniques for entrepreneurs and small-business owners. Since being an author today is not really different from being an entrepreneur with a small business, most of those tips are just as useful to authors.

Kate is an author herself. She writes books on local history, including the award-winning "Ruth by Lake and Prairie," a fictionalized account of the true story of Great Lake pioneering to the shores of Chicago and beyond to found Naperville, Illinois.

This Blog Is Moving after 9 Years!

While this is still my author website, I've decided to rearrange where I have been blogging. A gal can only do so much, y'know? I'm currently focusing on the AgathaAnnotated website

I started writing marketing tips for authors for the newsletter of the Love Is Murder Mystery Conference back in 2014. After many years of great interest in the industry, LIMcon stopped holding events, but I kept writing marketing tips here on my own website. After all, I was busy with marketing in my day job. Why not share what I was learning with other authors? Writers are small businesses, too.

From time to time, I have strayed from subjects that are strictly marketing, but the goal has always been to share this author's experience even as I was reading up on that of fellow author's. We can continue to learn from each other as we move along our writing journeys.

I am now blogging about my specific journey on the AgathaAnnotated website. My Kate's Brief History blog has also moved over there. It just made more sense to consolidate the blogs in one place. This blog does have some good search engine mojo, however, so it will stay put for now.

Thank you so much for being here! I hope you will now join me over at AgathaAnnotated! See you there!
